I laughed outloud!
Thanks to Brooklyn Lindsey for this great clip.

Today I started a new Facebook Group: Early Adolescent Ministry (aka Junior High or Middle School Ministry) Come join the group, but only if you can honestly say you belong! At first, I thought it was kind of creepy for a 33 year old grad school student to join Facebook. Now that everyone can have a profile, I am embracing the online community. First, it is a great way to keep track of former students (it is obvious from their pictures how they are doing). Secondly, I am finding out it is a great place to keep track of my friends and fellow youth workers.
By the way, does anyone know what it means to "poke" someone? Just wondering.
Mark Oestreicher posted this video on his blog the other day. I have enjoyed watching it and sharing it so much, I thought I'd post it to preserve it in my own blog. I love watching people get air as they are blown away by Benny Hinn's "Holy Ghost Machine Gun". (I actually heard him say that once)
Has anyone else seen the previews for HBO's Friends of God: A Road Trip With Alexandra Pelosi? (Yes, daughter of Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House). Reading from the HBO site, they describe it as...
"a year-long period for up-close and personal encounters with some influential members of the evangelical community, from Joel Osteen, the most-watched TV minister in America, to pastor Ron Luce, the founder of "Battle Cry," a concert tour that has drawn more than two million young people to its events nationwide. Pelosi also visits with a spectrum of others who embody a wide range of evangelical experiences, among them visitors at religion-themed parks, a Christian comic, creationist educators, Liberty University students and activists in Washington, D.C."
I have little faith that HBO or Pelosi will color evangelicals in a positive light, but I always love to see evangelicals get a good public spanking for being such nut-jobs. My satellite company owes me some free stuff, so I'm switching to the HBO for a few months. I look forward to watching this documentary this Thursday night. Watch for my review!
I was so excited to see Scott William Winters make his career comeback as an FBI Agent arresting Sandra Palmer in 24 last night.
However, it still wasn't as powerful as his role as as preppy Harvard student, Clark:
Will: Do you like apples?
Clark: Yeah.
Will: Well, I got her number. How do you like them apples?
Way to go, SWW!
